Bank Holiday Monday sunshine

Published on May 30, 2016, by in Diary, May, Through the year.

A full day spent in the garden today trying to reclaim a bit of control after some really rampant growth. Loving the wild meadow look even if it is more through neglect than design!

31st May 2014 reference shots

Loads of colour and activity in the garden here in Bratton Clovelly, West Devon, as we reach the last day of May. Sadly, that includes the length of the grass – which is at a week overdue on being cut and growing like crazy – but I’ll blame the rain last weekend for that…

Enjoying the orchard as it comes into bloom

Published on May 18, 2014, by in Diary, May, Through the year.

Like the rest of the country, we had magnificent weather on Sunday and I was able to spend a couple of hours cutting paths in the orchard before the grass completely takesĀ over. It was a real pleasure to be in such a lovely spot on a glorious afternoon.
